Hello everybody and welcome back on my Blog.
I didn't write a blogpost last week because I was on a Roadtrip with the girls :)
And that is the topic for today: The Roadtrip!
We started Friday (26th of March). Kaybre had speech so all of us went to the city. After speech we had a “Date”. We drove to the West Edmonton Mall and colored porcelain figures. The kids had a lot of fun and Reiker just told me after, that he loved it! After coloring we used the rest of the time and just walked around a little bit. At 4 p.m. Nina picked me up and we hit the road to Calgary. After we arrived, we met Kimberly and Amy for supper in the restaurant, where we had a kind of funny situation: Our waitress asked us where we are from. We answered her, that we are from Germany and she said that she thought that we are from Russia. That was kind of funny or should I say silly?!
After supper we said goodbye to Amy, she couldn't come with us on our trip because she had to work, and went to our hotel.
Before we drove to the airport to pick up Analena, Kimberly, Nina and I went to the grocery store and grabbed some snacks and water for the Roadtrip.
After we picked up Analena, everybody was ready for our first stop: Banff.
But before we went to Banff we stopped in Canmore.
In Banff we just walked around and enjoyed our time together.
For supper we went to a Brewery and tasted some beers.
After supper we just went to our hotel and hang out.
Sunday morning we drove 283 km to Revelstoke. The weather was very rainy and we couldn't see that much. In Revelstoke we just walked a little bit around and ended up in a cute café and planned the next two days.
Then we just ate supper in a pub next to our hotel. After supper we decided to make a Girls night in the hotel room. We all sat on one bed and watch a movie on Disney + together.
On Monday we drove 197 km to Kelowna. This time with better weather. In Kelowna we drove straight to the Mount Boucherie and went for a little hike. On top of the mountain/hill we had a awesome view over the Lake and Kelowna.
After our little hike we went back to the hotel and got ready for our Girls night out at the Cactus Club.
We got a message, that this night would be the last night in B.C. to eat in a restaurant. We panicked a little bit, because we didn't know what will happen with our wine tasting the day after. So we wrote an e-mail to the winery and asked them.
After everybody was ready we walked downtown and at the lake. It really felt like vacation, what was awesome!
During supper we got an answer from the winery, that our wine tasting will still work, because it is private.
After a Bellini, a Bowl and a dessert, we walked back to the hotel and went straight to bed, because a second hiking tour was on our program for the next day.
Tuesday morning we drove to our hike in Peachland. We hiked the Pincushion Mountain Trail, what wasn't that bad at the end of the day, but during it, it was awful! The view was gorgeous but that trail WE went wasn't because we didn't used the right way. But, whatever at the end we all can laugh about it hahaha.
After the hike we went back to a hotel for a little break and got ready for our wine tasting. We drove with a cab to the Mission Hill Family Winery. A gorgeous Winery with an even more gorgeous view. The wine tasting was really good and it definitely wasn't my last one ;)
After the Wine tasting we ordered some Pizza and ate it down at the lake. Back in the hotel we drunk our Rose´ we bought at the winery, watched a movie together and just did some girls talk :)
Before Analena, Nina and I drove back to Calgary, we dropped of Kimberly at the bus and said goodbye. Kimberly will fly back to Germany in the middle of April, so it was a goodbye for a longer time…
After that we hit the road to Calgary and drove 604 km. A long drive, which we felt as we arrived in Calgary. We just ate supper and went straight back to the hotel. We were so done and really tired.
On Wednesday, we started very slowly and had a late breakfast at Seed and Salt. After breakfast we went to a mall for a bit, and then to the Olympia Park for Ice tubing. We just could tube down 4 times. The wind was so bad, that they had to close everything. Positive is: we had the chance to try it out, and we will get all our money back ;)
We decided to take a look at the german grocery store. I guess everybody who saw us thought we were really silly. We just walked around and were very impressed by everything, because we didn't had this things for a long time.
After that we just had supper and went back to the hotel.
Friday we just drove back home.
Back at home I drove directly to the Farm to see everybody.
Kaybre and Arwynn just run in my arms and gave me a big hug. Kaybre said in my ear: “I missed you!” what was really sweet and made me very happy.
At Saturday Easter started. We went to J's parents for an early lunch and spend the afternoon there. We did clay pigeon shooting and it was my first time. But I wasn´t good, hahaha. At least I've tried it ;)
Yesterday (Sunday) I woke up by a call at 6 a.m. It was my dad who thought it is already 7 a.m. My grandma was with him, so I could understand why he called.
When all the kids were awake, they looked for their eatser bunny bags. Before Breakfast I had a view calls and after breakfast I got ready for the day, before I drove out to Uncle D's and Auntie Jens. We spend the day at the lake and had supper with the whole family. During the afternoon we drove the Dirt bikes and I tried it too, for my first time ;)
That was it for this week.
